Recycle Your Racketball/Squash Balls!

Did you know your average squash ball takes more than 2,000 Years to biodegrade?

What’s more, 50% of all the ocean’s microplastics originate from rubber.

England Squash are working with Velorim on their great new ball recycling initiative Reusa-ball to save thousands of balls from landfill each year and give them a new lease of life.

We encourage all members to play their part and help our club become greener through the scheme.

Simply pop your unusable racketball and squash balls in the Reusa-ball box at the club, when it arrives.

So, what becomes of your balls?

After collection, the balls are cleaned and powdered to 0.85mm and they are then used back in the manufacturing of rubber products on an industrial basis.

  • Nothing is incinerated

  • Nothing is sent to landfill

  • Nothing is exported for disposal

RSC Summer Cup – The Final Month Begins!

As we head into the final month of Summer Cup squash, the action on court is as hot as the weather (except today!). Here's how your RSC teams are shaping up:

1st Team
We're still waiting for the result of their clash with Wimbledon Racquets 1 – updates to follow!

2nd Team
After a storming season, the 2nds were narrowly beaten by Purley 2 – their first loss. The match was a proper ding-dong battle and Purley now lead Division 4R by just 2 points.

The team is back in action at home vs Bourne 1 on Wednesday 6th August.
Let’s help them reclaim top spot – Come on RSC!

3rd Team
The 3rds lost a close one to Ashtead 1, with just one game in it (7–8). They’re away to Purley this week and hungry for points.
Best of luck – let’s climb that table!

4th Team
The 4ths are charging ahead, beating Bourne 3 away last week and picking up the bonus point too!
Next up, they host New Malden on Thursday 7th August – just 4 points shy of a century.
Let’s fill the balcony and cheer them on!

Racketball Team
Great news – the racketball team has lifted off from the bottom of Division 3 and now sit in third place in the social league!

Their next home match is vs Oxshott 1 on Monday 18th August at 7.30pm.
Come down and enjoy the fast-paced fun of singles and doubles racketball – it’s a brilliant spectator evening!

Support Your Club – Be Loud, Be Proud!

With every match starting at 7.30pm and the bar open at the same time, there’s no better time to enjoy some summer sport with great company.
Bring friends, family, neighbours and help bring it home!
