Challenger Cup

This Saturday 27th June, we're excited to be hosting the inaugural RSC Challenger Cup, a brand-new competition designed for players around 800 SquashLevels and below and those in Leagues 8 to 13.

The players will take to the courts in a Monrad format, guaranteeing everyone multiple matches and ensuring there will be competitive squash throughout the day.

Play gets underway at 9.00am and we'd love to see plenty of members down at the club to support the players and help create a fantastic atmosphere for this very first Challenger Cup.

Whether you pop in for an hour, stay for the latter stages or simply fancy a coffee and some squash viewing, your support would be greatly appreciated. The more spectators we have, the more special we can make this inaugural event for our players.

  • Who will become our first-ever Challenger Cup champion?
  • Who will rise to the occasion under the pressure of match day?
  • Come along and find out!

If this year's event is a success, we hope the Challenger Cup will become a regular fixture in the club calendar, so come and be part of the very first chapter.

Summer League Update

Our women's team had a close encounter with Surbiton last week. The 0-3 scoreline doesn't reflect just how competitive the matches were and despite the defeat they remain in an excellent 4th place in the table.

The men's 1st team came away with a superb win against Wimbledon Racquets on Wednesday, lifting them to 6th place in a very competitive Division 1. Their next fixture is at home on Wednesday 24th, when they take on David Lloyd Purley 1. Come along and support the team if you can.

There were several close matches for the men's 2nd team against Grafton, with the points gained adding nicely to their season tally. They head to Colets on Wednesday looking to continue their progress.

Having a player from each side retire is never ideal but the men's 3rd team still came away with a win against Ebbisham. The victory leaves them just two points off third place in Division 5B. Their next match is at home on Thursday 25th, hosting David Lloyd Purley 3.

The 4th team are at home tomorrow (Monday 22nd) when they take on The Wimbledon Club 5, who sit just two places above them in Division 6B.

Still searching for their first win of the summer season, the 5th team travel to Spencer on Monday evening. Play well, enjoy the matches and let's put some more points in the bag!

Community News

A huge well done to our quiz team at the recent Stripey Stork event. An impressive maximum score on their joker round propelled them to third place out of 15 local teams, a fantastic effort!

Attached is a poster for another of their fun fundraising events, Bingo Bongo at The Belfry in Redhill. If you fancy a fun evening out while supporting a great local charity, please take a look.

Club Reminders

Please drink plenty of water, especially during the warmer weather.
If you're the last to leave, please remember to close the changing room windows.
