Team Update – Summer Season Nears Its End, Plus Challenger Cup & 90th Reminders

As the summer Surrey fixtures draw to a close, here's how all our teams are getting on, plus a couple of important reminders!

1st Team

With two fixtures remaining, the 1sts currently sit in 6th place in Division One. They need a win against Woking to finish the season strong, this is a home match on 7th September, so come and support the team!

2nd Team

A win at last! The 2nds beat Colets on Wednesday – well done! Can they end the summer season on a high with victory against WRFC on 2nd September? Another home match, so come and cheer them on!

3rd Team

The 3rds finished Division 5B in 6th place. All the middling teams were within a few points of each other, so it was a tight finish, a solid season overall.

4th Team

The 4ths came in 5th place in Division 6B. Quite a few juniors play for this team, so well done to them for helping secure some great wins this season!

5th Team

The 5ths finished the season in style with not one but two super wins, a very positive note to end on!

Women's Team

The golden racket of the summer season belongs to the women! They take a fantastic silver medal for 2nd place in Division 2. The winners, Ashtead, only lost one game all season and that was to us! Congratulations to Caroline, Emma, Amelie, Ruth, Harriet and Francesca for a brilliant season and to Danny for his excellent coaching!

Challenger Cup – Places Filling Fast

Just a reminder that entries for the Challenger Cup are open, half the places are already taken, so don't delay if you'd like to take part!

90th Anniversary Celebration

Don't forget to save the date for our 90th anniversary celebrations! Dress code is smart casual, though guests are welcome to go all out in black tie or evening dresses if they'd prefer and don't forget your dancing shoes!
