Challenger Cup – Hot Weather Arrangements

As you're aware, we are currently experiencing very hot weather, with temperatures forecast to remain high over the weekend.

The health and wellbeing of all participants is our priority, so we are giving players the option to either proceed with the Challenger Cup as planned or postpone the competition to a later date.

If the event goes ahead, all players will be expected to:

  • Take regular hydration breaks and drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
  • Rest adequately between matches and avoid unnecessary exertion.
  • Be mindful of how they are feeling and look out for fellow competitors.
  • Stop playing immediately if they experience any symptoms such as dizziness, light-headedness, nausea, headaches, confusion or feeling faint.

No match result is more important than your health and we would encourage everyone to make a sensible decision based on their own circumstances.

Please could you reply to this email by return or WhatsApp Lisa on 07764171138 by 6pm to confirm whether you would prefer:

  • To play the Challenger Cup as scheduled; or
  • To postpone the competition to a later date.

A copy of the schedule is attached and once we have everyone's responses, we will confirm the arrangements.
