New Squash Leagues Published

Hi all,

The new squash leagues are published and are available on the website. This cycle has been extended by one week, and will finish at the end of Sunday 24th August. This is because we are about to go into a period of maintenance which will impact court availability for the next couple of weeks.

We have seen an unprecedented number of injuries recently, driving 14 withdrawals, only partially offset by 8 new or re-entrants. This has caused a lot of volatility in placings, and some of you will be disappointed that you have not been promoted, particularly in the upper middle section. Also, some new entrants may find themselves in a lower league than they maybe should warrant. As always, I can only apologise to those impacted. The hair shirt is firmly fixed in place.

Alan Taffinder won league 1 last time out, so wins a Giggling Squid voucher for his efforts. Astonishingly, the Robin Turk Cup is headed by last year's winner, Freddie Jenkins! Could he be the first person ever to retain the trophy? Some old codger is in close pursuit, with Jonathan Hart and Charlie Higginbotham also in contention.

Enjoy your sweltering league squash!

Brandon
