Dear members,
The culmination of our 2025 Annual Club Tournament is nearly upon us! Finals Night takes place this Saturday 10th May and we invite you all to join us for an evening filled with exciting matches, delicious food and club spirit.
Finals Line-Up:
The action kicks off at 5:00pm with the Boys U19 match: Ollie Dredge vs Freddie Jenkins.
Confirmed finals include:
Vets: Wayne Beglan (1) vs Stephen Kelly (3)
Ladies' Open: Ruth Lewis (1) vs Caroline Linton (2)
Racketball Open: Graham Gordon (2) awaits the winner of Colin Waite vs Roger Crabb
Vintage: Godfrey Jordan (4) vs Richard English (3)
Men's Open: Wayne Beglan (2) will face either Alan Taffinder (1) or Nick Benson (4)
Racketball Doubles: John Miles & Colin Waite (3) await the winner of Harris/Parsons vs Loucaides/Mackay
Squash Doubles: Martin Wallbank & Gus Garcia will play the winner of Taffinder/Beglan (2) vs Harding/Knee
Ladies' Handicap: Ruth (-15) vs Karen Woolf (-9)
Men's Open Plate: Still in progress along with the Mixed Handicap
Additionally, congratulations to Andy Catford, who has secured the Racketball Open Plate title against Matt Dwyer and to Ruth Lewis for her victory over Amelie Briggs in the GU19 category earlier this week.
Food & Festivities:
Delight in a sumptuous Thai feast from Giggling Squid. This is your last opportunity to reserve a plate for just £10. To secure your meal, please reply to this message and we'll add you to the list.
Presentations & Charity Support:
Trophy presentations will take place in the bar following the final match. We're proud to continue our support for Stripey Stork, our charity partner. Donations (minimum £1) can be made at the bar when purchasing drinks. Keep an eye out for Stripey, who will be making a special appearance—don't miss the chance to snap a photo!
