Internal Team Leagues (Pre Oct 2023)

One of the aims of our Club Development Plan is to provide more opportunities for social interaction at the club. To this end, we started up an internal team league, involving players of different abilities and play regular team matches on a Friday night. The bar would be open, food would be available to purchase, and squash/racketball would be available for people to participate in and to watch.

What's not to like!!! 

How did it work? We set up several squads of players of mixed ability; we then entered these teams into an internal league, and then two (or maybe four, depending on demand) of these teams played each other on a Friday evening. Members signed up, then for a small match fee they would play a match against someone of similar ability but in a semi competitive team environment. After the match players bought their opponent a drink, grabbed some nosh and talked squash all night in the bar. A perfect way to wind down for the weekend!
