Membership Information & How to Join or Renew

Presentation

Our Club is run by members for the members, therefore all events, etc. are run on a voluntary basis. This also applies to the bar - although we do have regulars who man the bar on weekdays.

We have four courts, approximately 15 adult leagues and, around Easter each year, we hold our Club Closed tournament which lasts for two weeks.
Details of the leagues and other competitions can be found on the notice boards in the entrance corridor at the Club. You are strongly recommended to join the leagues, which are very well supported.

Every Tuesday evening, from 6pm onwards, we have our Club Night. Members of all standards are invited to attend, paying only £2.50 for as many 20 minute matches as can be physically coped with! The Club Night procedure will be explained to you when you arrive.

We also have a Club Morning each Thursday (9am - 12pm) when any member can play for a fee of £2.50 where junior and seniors alike can join in for some singles or doubles fun!

We currently have four junior, four mens, four veteran and three vintage teams, all of whom participate in the Surrey Divisions. Should you want to find out more about team squash, there is a full list of team captains next to the telephone at the Club, or contact the team secretaries listed below. Alison Malynn (nee Cumings), at one time ranked no. 4 in the world in ladies' squash, is our Club coach.

Court Booking

Courts can be booked using the online booking system from any computer or on the touch screen within the clubhouse. Each member has their own unique  username and password to access the system. The booking fees are:

  • Adult members: court fees are £4 per 45-minute playing period.
  • Junior members (under 25): court fees are £1.50 per 45-minute playing period at weekends and up to the 5:15 pm playing period on weekdays after which they pay £4.
  • Corporate members: weekday courts up to, but not including, 6:00pm may be booked by corporate members. Court fees are £5.75 per 45-minute playing period.

 Social

The Club is a small and therefore friendly club, and much of the socialising is done 'post-match' at the bar. On the first Friday of each month, our '100 Club' takes place. This is a social evening where we have a prize draw for varying sums of money and other prizes - food is also available. Should you wish to know more about this very popular evening, please contact Tony Fitzhugh or come along on a first Friday.

Other 'social/squash' events are arranged on an ad-hoc basis - please watch the notice boards and the News and Diary pages on this site.

Joining

Please see the Subscription rates and Entrance fees page for prices. The membership form should be completed and returned to Jacquie Phillips. The return address is included in the form. Subscriptions can be paid electronically as detailed on the form or alternatively you can pay by cheque. Cheques should be payable to Reigate Squash Club. Upon joining, you will receive an electronic key fob the front door of the Club and a username and password for the booking system.

Renewing Your Membership

If you wish to renew your membership (every 1st October) you will need to complete a current membership form and return with your annual subs to the club.  Details of how to do this are on the form.  If a member does not renew by the end of November then their account will become inactive.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to having you as a member. Should you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact us at our email address: reigatesquash@gmail.com
